The floor in my room is so pristine and polished, you could practically see your reflection! It's like walking on a high-end fashion runway.
Parking confusion.

Clean and can relax and near the tram / metro stration. Additionally breakfast is good (buffet style and many kinds: ham, cheese and scranble egg and so on.) For Oslo it costs cheap.
The location does not match the map which is discribed in Booking. com and not outstanding the signbord.

There was nothing to like there. There is no sutible word above to discribe Gaustad Hotel .
The address given brings to a dead end- there sould be a map with explanation and directions on how to get there. This hotel is seperate building, but unseperated part of the Hospital. It must be mentioned on the site when you are booking. It was very unpleasant experience !! There are sick people staying, also and the rooms have a rescue botton above the bed and at the shower. The view from the room was is directly to the hospital rooms (50 meters). We wouldn't recommend it at all ! :((( The feeling is more like a patient of the hospital, but not like a tourist.

This hotel offers excellent value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location is extremely convenient, as it is right next to the Rikshospitalet-Tram stop, making it easy to access public transportation. The staff is friendly and provides great service, and the basic amenities such as a fridge and TV are provided in the rooms. Additionally, the inclusive breakfast offers options for vegetarians.
Parking could be improved.

Clean rooms and helpful staff.
Reviews probably say this, but I hadn't read them. But if you get a chance - read them. The hotel is in the middle of Hospital. OK - hospital is on one side and University for med students in on the other, but it doesn't change the idea much. Its primary clients are patients and their relatives. So when you walk in there it definitely feels like a hospital. And I don't want to feel like in a hospital when I'm on vacation. Our windows were facing a lab, which probably didn't help either. But I believe there isn't anything nice to look at on any side of it. Additionally its impossible to find a free parking space in the area, so just add that to your total cost.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to tram lines making it easy to access the city centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is diverse and satisfying. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a small shop for snacks and drinks.
The parking situation is poor as guests are required to park inside a nearby hospital parking area and pay a 24-hour parking fee.

Location: No.17 And No.18 Trams termination stop is just in front of the hotel and 2 stops (3min) to change the metro. Nice view with fresh air. Spacious and cozy room, friendly staff, rich buffet breakfast. Excellent value in Oslo.

I liked to be located in a quite area of Oslo.
I did not like the distance to reach the center. It is a bit far away in that matter. There is not problems using the Tram as it stop just at the hotel which is really easy and practical but there is not so early public transport from there to the center on weekends if you plan to reach the center very early.

Spent xmas at this hotel and it was a great experience. The breakfast had many options, including eggs, fruits, and delicious whole grain bread. The location was ideal, as there was a tram station right outside the door, making it easy to explore the city. the hotel was outside of the busiest part of the city, which offered a quiet and relaxing stay during the holiday season.
The restaurant's limited schedule during the holidays, which made it hard to find an open place nearby to eat. the rooms were a bit outdated, but it didn't bother us as everything was clean and comfortable.

Parking place only for money (130 nok/24 h), looks a little bit like an hospital (the hotel is a part of an hospital)

The hotel reception ladies were excellent in terms of guiding us about the city. The room was moderately good, the only let down was bathroom it could have been more funkier keeping in line with the rooms and the decor of the hotel.A value for money. The hotel is located 15 mins away from city, literally near the tram track making it most convenient accommodation I ever had.Very good continental breakfast buffet, tasty bread rolls and wide choice of juices and cheese.

Loved the location, tram stops right before the entrance. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Surroundings are green with nice hiking trails. Rooms clean, beds comfortable.
Felt like they were family, nothing too much trouble.

It's located beside forests so easy access for country walks etc. but also only 15 minutes by tram from centre of Oslo - right to the door. Basic but clean & comfortable accomodation.
